Welcome to theNational Striped Bass Tournament Trail hosted by the Striped Bass Conservation Coalition.

This trail is designed to be a fisherman's trail. It will be simple, conveniently structured, and inexpensive so that families can participate. We will operate as a start-up (or re-start) with the basic philosophy that if we (fishermen) work together and build it (Striped Bass Tournament Program), they (Sponsors) will come. So, let’s work together and MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!!

Event Format

Saturday Only:

· Nine (9) one (1) day Qualifying tournament Events (across two Regions)

· Five (5) one (1) day Qualifying tournament Events per Region

· Qualify for the Striped Bass Classic

· Receive a NO ENTRY FEE Invitation into the National Championship (see details)

· Be recognized as the BEST Team/Angler in your Region and Win the Title of Team-of-the-Year (TOTY)

Tournament Payout

The National Striped Bass Tournament Trail will be set up as a 100% pay back program. There are two tournament programs designed to maximize our ability to reach as many fishermen as possible. They are simple and independent programs.

The payback will be 80% at the event and 20% held and guaranteed to be paid out at the National Championship. And for those qualifying through our trail (Top-50% of the points list and those that fish in all five (5) points tournaments), the entry fee for the championship will be a NO ENTRY FEE CHAMPIONSHIP!

The BIG STRIPER TOURNAMENT will be a 1-fish tournament with a very low entry fee. However, we will be doing something a little different here. The program is set up to allow teams to purchase WEIGH-IN TICKETS. You can purchase 1, 2, 3, or 4 and be eligible to win multiple places if you purchase multiple weigh-in tickets. The pay back will be 100% of the paid entries back to the fishermen.

2-FISH Boat Tournament

GUARANTEED 100% Pay back

2-Fish Boat Tournament (based on 100-boats)

· Team Point’s Tournament with a $150/boat entry;

· Winner in Team Tournament determined by the heaviest 2-fish of the boat (1-pound penalty/fish for dead fish)

· Payout to the Top-15 finishers, If less than 100-boats, the places paid will be 1-place for every 7-paid entries

· Fish in all five (5) events in your Region and receive a free entry into the National Championship Tournament

Special Note: Total Program Payout is 100% less approved expenses.
1). Payout at each event and the number of places paid out will be based on the number of paid entries.

2). 20% of the entry fees will be deposited into the National Championship Fund and 100% of these fees will be guaranteed to be paid out to the Top-10 places in the Striped Bass Classic National Championship!

BIG STRIPER TOURNAMENT

GUARANTEED 100% Pay back at the event

BIG STRIPER Tournament (based on 200-entries)

· Big Striper Tournament ($25 per weigh-in ticket purchased)

· Winner in BIG STRIPER Tournament determined by the heaviest 1-fish of the boat (1-pound penalty for dead fish)

· 100% Payout to the LARGEST TEN (10) finishers, if less than 100-entries, the places paid will be 1-place for every 10-paid entries

· Win up to 4 prizes by having four (4) weigh-in tickets

· Limited to a maximum of four (4) entries per boat

Conservation TWT

Optional Conservation TWT (Tournament-within-a-Tournament):

· Must be entered in either the 2-Fish Team Tournament or in the BIG STRIPER Tournament to participate in the Conservation TWT

· Optional Conservation Benefit TWT entry fee will be $100/boat

· The Payout for the Conservation TWT will be 70% to 3-places regardless of the number of entries. The 30% will be used for Striped Bass Conservation projects with 50% of the funds donated by the SBCC to local club partners based on their participation in the event.

Championship Tournament

2008 Striped Bass Classic National

Championship Format

(Friday-Saturday)

· Two (2) day Competition with a two (2) fish per day weigh-in

· Heaviest two (2) day aggregate weight wins the event

· Must keep fish alive, or receive one (1) pound penalty per dead fish

· Payout of ten (10) places (based on accumulating 400 or more paid entries during the season)

· Qualify from multiple opportunities:

Finish in the top-25% of any of the nine Points Tournaments
Finish in the top-25% of any of the SBCC Hosted Tournaments
Fish in 3 tournaments in one of the two regional schedules and automatically qualify,
Finish in the Top-50% of your Regional TOTY point’s standing and receive a NO ENTRY FEE (Must fish at least 4-Points Tournaments to be eligible for the free entry) Invitation to the National Championship
Win or be the 1^st or 2^nd runner-up in an Official SBCC Sanctioned tournament (Sanctioning is subject to approval by the Regional Tournament Director) and receive an Invitation to Participate in the National Championship (FULL ENTRY FEE required)

Championship Tournament is a Friday-Saturday tournament with the prize going to the team with the heaviest weight using up to 4 eligible fish.

Special Note 1: Based on accumulating 400 or more paid entries during the season. Payout will increase if we accumulate more than 400 paid entries. Is this a possible number to reach? Well, if the East Region averages 65-boats across the 5-tournaments on their schedule and the Central Region averages 15-boats across the 5-tournaments in their schedule that will total 400 entries. Those are very close to the numbers we averaged in 2006. So I think this is a very high possibility, but it depends on you the members to make it happen!
