Striped Bass Conservation Coalition (SBCC)

Non-Profit Member based Organization

Striper Clubs
CLUBS:
To become a Partner organization with the SBCC is very simple.  It is almost automatic.  There are only three main requirements to become a Partner Club/Organization.
1). Must exist as a club and/or organization
2). Must fish for or promote the true bass family of striped bass, hybrid striped bass, white bass, and/or yellow bass, and
3). Must believe in the basic philosophies of the SBCC

Although the SBCC promotes live striped bass tournament weigh-ins, that is not a requirement for a club to meet requirement #3 above.

SBCC and CLUB MEMBERS:
The SBCC Conservation Membership fee for the SBCC is $20/year per family.  Then to compete as a Competition member you simply pay the $20/family Competition Upgrade.  See the SBCC Bylaws for a description of what makes up a family.

However, if you belong to one or more striper clubs that meet the above 3-requirements you are automatically eligible for 50% ($10) off your SBCC Conservation Membership fees of $20.  And if you want to compete in competitions you can upgrade the membership by paying the Competition Fee

Earning an Invitation to the SBCC Classic from a Club Event:
Although each Region tournament director determines if they are going to sanction events other than their own, the East Region has a standard policy of sanctioning most striped bass tournaments in the region regardless of whether they are club only or open tournaments.  Basically, any team finishing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in one of their events can qualify for the SBCC Striped Bass Classic by paying the full entry fee.

The SBCC will promote all striper clubs on our website, in our eNewsletter, and in our future Striped Bass eMagazine without any additional obligation from that club.  Obviously clubs that cooperate and coordinate with the SBCC will get more support and promotion from the SBCC.
