| 1st Annual NSBA Member's Reunion & Tournament |
Come join us this November for the 1st Annual NSBA Member’s Reunion and Tournament. We will be enjoying fellowship and fun with a meal provided by Morristown Chamber of Commerce on Friday night at the Ramada of Morristown (previously called the Lakeway Inn) followed by the kick-off of the 2008 Season of the NEW SBCC National Striped Bass Tournament Trail Gold Cup Series.   For early arrivals, we will be offering an open tournament on Friday with a $100 entry fee and 100% payback to those teams participating. Registration will be at the Ramada on Thursday night. Help us get the tournament program started again! The Payout will be 100% back to the fishermen. We plan to keep the Gold Cup Series theme for the tournament trail. However, the GCS belongs to every member. The 2008 Trail will have 2-Regions with 4-tournaments in each Region and the Reunion and Kick-off bonus tournament. The 2008 Championship will be a NO ENTR FEE CHAMPIONSHIP for those that qualify, others will pay the full entry fee to participate! There are 2-tournaments in one. First is the 2-Fish Team tournaments where everyone earns points and the top-50 teams receive a free entry to the 2008 National Championship. We are also introducing the BIG STRIPER TOURNAMENT. This is a 1-fish tournament with a payout to the largest 10-striped bass (based on 100-tickets sold) weighed in during the tournament. Pre-fish Practice: Official practice days for the event starts on the Monday of the
Registration and meeting: For those members wishing to compete on Friday in either the Early Arrival Open Tournament or the TOTY Points finale, the SBCC will host an early arrival registration and meeting on Thursday night at the Ramada, starting at 8:00PM.
Pre-fish Practice: Everyone may be on the lake until 4:00PM. However, those competing in the Friday tournament must be checked in by 4:00PM.
Early Arrival 2-Fish Open Tournament and BIG STRIPER Tournament: All NSBA & SBCC members may compete in this open friendly event. Entry fee will be $100/boat. Weigh-in (2-fish) begins at 3:00PM. All teams in the Friday Tournament & TOTY Point’s finale must be checked in by 4:00PM and all others must leave the water NLT 4:00PM. Regular SBCC rules will apply to these events.
Since the SBCC did not establish the 2007 TOTY program, we will host and administer the Early Arrival tournament and assist the TOTY teams in administering their final tournament.
Captain's meeting & Registration for the 2008 Season Kick-off: For those members wishing to compete on Saturday in either the 2-Fish Tournament or BIG STRIPER Tournament, the SBCC will host the registration and Captain's meeting on Friday night at the Ramada, starting at 7:00PM. Each team present at Friday night's meeting will be considered as checked out and do not have to check out again on Saturday morning.
