This year we are introducing a new concept called the BIG STRIPER tournament where a team can enter multiple times or just once. Each entry is $25 and if a team enter more than once they can actually win multiple places. At the Cherokee Members Reunion tournament we had a total fiel of 78 entries in the tournament with a 100% payback planned. However, Live System's sponsored the event and added to the 1st place payout to bring the prize up to an even $1,000 CAASH.
The payout is set up to pay 1-place for every 10-paid entries. With 78 entries the payout was to 8-places.
A Family Affair, Let's keep it that way! By Warren Turner, President SBCC Board of Directors
In 1988 I started striped bass fishing and joined a striper club in SC called the Greenville Striper Kings. The thing that impressed me most was the family involvement that I witnessed. As a matter of fact, one of the most influential people that I met never even knew how much impact he and his wife had on me and striped bass fishing. A couple weeks later I was fishing in my first striped bass tournament and saw Bill (Butch) and Teresa Barber fishing together, and the idea of fishing competitively with my family stuck in my heart.

I continued to watch the Barbers and was actually a little jealous of Butch. I had found a new sport that was becoming more and more important to me and I wanted to share that feeling with my wife and daughter. I A few years after I joined the club, the Barbers won a tournament and Teresa was named "Striper Queen" by the Greenville News Outdoors writer. That is when I realized that striped bass fishing was more of a team sport and that a family could compete with the "guys". The next year, my partner started a new job and got married and my wife offered to be my partner. I jumped at the offer and she and my daughter became the best partners a man could ever want.
